Sean L.C.'s Story

All I've done pretty much since high school is work for the most part.My biggest and most favorite hobby is being a professional musician.I started my musicianship halfway through my sophomore year at CHS in January of 1983 as a guitarist and I took lessons from Jim Blaisdell,(Mark's older brother) for a few months.I determined that after 9 moths that guitar wasn't really for me,considering the fact that I have relatively large hands,I switched to bass guitar instead and felt more comfortable with it.After playing in a few garage bands through the mid 80's,I got called on by Tony Lewis (Dickie's younger brother) to play bass in his band. Those who read this might remember. In December 1988,I played my first professional gig.Our band opened up for Dickie Lewis' band,"POUNDA" at the Loudon Country Hall.Mike Little was our singer at the time.Dickie's brother,Tony, was our lead guitarist,Jon(Grubby)Davidson was on rhythm guitar,me on bass,& John VanHook was our drummer who was introduced to us by Sue Young.POUNDA'S lineup was Dickie Lewis on guitar,Glen Dyment on bass,Tim Kay on lead vocals,& Sean Gilpatric on drums. In the spring of '89,both bands went through some lineup changes. "Eclipse" and "POUNDA" still performed together at parties throughout the rest of 1989 around Co...Expand for more
ncord and Loudon and both bands pretty much desintigrated after the beginning of 1990.By the summer of that year,I became disgruntled with the music scene around Concord and started putting up ads in the music stores around Manchester and more doors started open for me from that point on.By the fall of '93, I was doing gigs in Nashua and points south performing in Boston four times in 1994. I have performed and recorded with several musicians around the southern N.H. & northern Mass. area & I have about six albums of recorded material under my belt.I played & performed in the bands Carfax Abbey,HIT-N-RUN,& Phantom River. I've played as far north as W.Stewartstown N.H. & Barre VT.,and as far south as Asbury Park N.J. And all around southern N.H. & northern Mass. Needless to say, music has pretty much been my passion. Now that that part of the story is over with,my other hobbies are hiking in the White mtns. & mountain biking. I've been living in Derry for the past 10 years.don't really care for it too much down here & I plan on moving back north sometime. The only thing I benefit personally from living down here is that I'm in close proximity of my colleagues in the music field & the music stores where I conduct my business. So that's pretty much my life story since C.H.S.
